Southbank library collections
The majority of books, DVDs, videos etc are shelved together in Call Number order on Levels 3 and 4 of the Library. This is described as the General Collection.
There are other collections for particular types of resources or for particular groups of students. These are:
- Children's books -these are located on Level 3 of the Library near the lift.
- Language and Literacy - these resources are for students seeking to improve their English language, writing, reading, speaking or listening skills. They are located on Level 2 of the Library near the lift.
- Fiction - a small collection of recreational fiction is held on Level 4 of the Library.
- Journals (magazines, serials) - the Journal collection is located on Level 2 of the Library. Journals may be read within the Library but are not available for loan.
- Reference - dictionaries, encyclopaedias, almanacs, atlases etc are located on Level 2 of the Library. They may be used anywhere in the Library but are not available for loan.
