Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

Overseas Student Health Cover is compulsory for all students studying at Southbank Institute, regardless of length of study, for the duration of the program or multiple programs. All students undertaking studies, must be covered by some form of health insurance, regardless of visa type.

International students have the option of paying OSHC fees directly to Southbank Institute, as we are able to pay all OSHC fees to our elected health fund. Students also have the option to make their own arrangements for health cover. We will record on a student's electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) whether or not he/she has paid the OSHC directly to Southbank Institute.

If a student has not paid OSHC to Southbank Institute, he or she will be required to demonstrate to the Australian Embassy that health cover has been paid, at the time of applying for the student visa.
