Diploma of Music – Performance

Tune up your skills as a musician, with a comprehensive course in performance and production techniques. Registration Details

CUS50101 Diploma of Music is in teach-out and no new students may be accepted. Program and price information on this brochure is published for the use of continuing students only.

In 2011, this program will be replaced by CUS50109 Diploma of Music. Details will be published as soon as registration is complete.

Entry Criteria

School leavers must have completed Year 12 or equivalent  
or
Non school-leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies

Applicants will be required to submit an audio CD of their instrument or voice. Home recordings will be accepted

Audio Demo Assessment Criteria
- consistent pitch accuracy
- consistent rhythmic accuracy
- a demonstrated range of dynamic expression
- demo piece is in the rock/pop genre

Applicants are requested to include supporting documentation relevant to their application. This should include resumes, bios, academic results, personal or professional references and any other relevant material.

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an audition. PLEASE NOTE: This is separate to the QTAC process.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.

Standard course cost will be charged for units of study/courses credited via RPL.

Full Fee: $14,500 VET FEE-HELP* eligible.

To be eligible for VET FEE-HELP, and defer payment of fees, a student must be enrolled in a full fee paying course.

Government Subsidised Fee:
- Full Rate: $ 1,800

A $14 Administration fee is applicable to Government subsidised enrolments.

Government subsidised fees must be paid through existing payment methods at the time of enrolment.
