Become even more fluent in the latest communication methods for people with hearing impairments. Acquire a more advanced understanding of Auslan, with an additional 4 subjects on the language, plus further subjects on the history and issues relating to the deaf community. It’s the perfect course to connect in more meaningful ways.



Career Opportunities

Auslan Certificate III is a pre-requisite for many areas of employment with deaf people, including education, employment, counselling and Auslan interpreting.

Program Duration

Part Time: Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings from 6.00pm – 9.00pm. Full time and day classes are not available.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.

Standard course cost will be charged for units of study/courses credited via RPL.

Please ensure that your name, address and telephone numbers are placed on the waiting list by either e-mailing us or telephoning Student Administration & Services on 13 72 48.

An enrolment pack will be sent out approximately one month before each intake. Enrolments are processed on a "first in, first served" basis until maximum class numbers are reached.

Students cannot enrol in all courses from the program at one time, enrolment is on a course by course basis.
